Wow this year I went through a complete 180 change. Possibly the best year in my 24 years of existence and with 2008 looking to be even more promising. I will definitely miss 2007. So here it goes

WORST OF 2007
1. Nancy Nuñez
As I much as I hate to wish death on someone, my sister makes the only exception. I fucking hate her. I cant stand her. She's so fucking cruel, self-centered, soul-less, and she's only trying to fuck me over because she's jealous of me. From destroying my car window twice, to false accusations that led to so much BS, and other nasty conflicts, I hate her. What's worse is that its crippling my mom even more. Thank god my brother ended up beating her up, because if it was me, who knows what damage I would have done

2. Falling In Love
I didnt think this was going to happen, but damn do I hate this streak of bad luck/curse I've carried on my entire life. Everything was just perfect, she was what I called "the one" but like always, there is always something to fuck it up. Compared to 2 years ago, this was the most dissapointing one in my entire life.

3. RIP Camaro
I hate relying on people on rides. I hate taking forever to get to point A to point B by public transportation. I really hate not having a car. The loss of the Camaro did some damage on me for the last part of this year, including the relationship with my brother

4. Relationship with my mom and Oscar
I honestly felt there was a significant different in our relationship this year. My sister's rampage caused a lot of arguining between me and my mom and often led to crying. Not to mention how my brother and I feuded on the car and on his relationships. I've told him so much shit that could make anyone drop friendships. We all still love each other, but this year was just bad

5. The # of stupid women I dated
Talk about a waste of time and $. Worst of all, I actually fell for some of their BS. I can't believe I let some fucking female scream at my face for something so little.

6. Ervins no alcohol challenge
Seriously, this was just beyond stupid. It made me think twice on the people I drink with and slowly did I realized why I acted in such ways: I hate a lot of people in the dance game community.

7. Car Accident
Holy shit this was beyond scary. I was driving with no insurance at the time and my car turned off when I was turning. Lucky for me I hit a wall and NOT A CAR! Still, who knows what would have happened had I hit a car

8. Worst B ever!
By 2 points, I missed out on an A for my Interpersonal Communications class. But FUCK the teacher because IRL, my communications is at an A+.

9. Sick on my birthday week
No sickness this year came as close to that nasty feeling I felt up my throat. It seemed like eternity witht that shit. It lasted almost 10 days and damn did I hate it

10. Driving buzzed
Scary ass experience. But what else can be done when a family members needs a lift.

11. People I saw less
It was great that I made new friends, but fuck do I miss out on my friends I used to see quite frequently. At least the connection is still there because thats what great friendships are all about

12. Missed concerts
I had the fucking opportunity to see Breaking Benjamin in any of their So.Cal dates, but the little mistakes can do so much damage. Also I spent nearly $100 on the Travis tickets for the Wiltern, and why did I miss: I completely forgot



BEST OF 2007
1. Rotaract Club
Who ever knew curiosity didnt kill the cat. Rotaract has changed my life entirely. I've become a great public speaker, I've become an influential and charismatic leader. I gained friendships, power, connections, ego, and most definitely self-esteem. Because of my involvement with Rotaract, I may now be attending an Ivy League school not because of my grades, but because of the person I am

2. Falling In Love
WTF why is it here twice. Simple, I went through an amazing experience with her. I honestly wish I can go back in time and live that day, every day. The build up, the kiss, the connection, the chemistry, EVERYTHING. It was the best concert ever! Even though it didnt work out, I actually was emotionally very strong by resisting long days of heartbreak. Its up to GOD if we are meant for each other because the minute she becomes single, I will make her mine. Destiny brought us together once, lets hope it brings it back again

3. Trip to Hooters
After succesfully landing a # with that Hooters waitress, it completely change my GAME. I fucking gained confidence like a mother fucker! I realized I got much more potential and as I now risen my standards with women. I had it all along me, and it took me a while to realize that being yourself is the key to a womans heart.

4. PUMP NX + Chuck E Cheese
Pump was the shit when NX came out. It always has been my favorite dance game and when NX was discovered at the Chuck E. Cheese by my area, it led to so many great things. My relationships with Phil, Chandler, Ervin and others increased. I discovered the Bicycle Casino and my passion for Texas Hold Em. It kept me in shape. It wasnt as costly. Best of all, no itg/ddr freak drama. It was clean fun. What also was great was the people I met such as Jose De La Torre and Rosie. If I had never met Rosie, I would have never known about Cornell.

5. Bonding with dad
Hahaha "Dance With My father" just played. SCARY! This was a great year for me and my dad. We actually bonded and hung out more often than previous years. And you know what bonded us: Work, Soccer and ALCOHOL! Yeah try to talk shit there. Alcohol being the biggest one because oh man the crazy shit we've done with it. We talk a lot more, we joke, we have man to man talks, and whats great is that he is understanding me again (damn this song always makes me cry). I can tell he is proud of me after he got me the best Christmas gift I received this year.

6. Lazy Dog
All I have to say is GOOD TIMES! Philarrington.com stories, chicken tenders, and summer films. PUMP and this brought me a lot closer to the friends I cherish most.

7. Avenged Sevenfold
Music has never been the same since I attended their first concert. I had my 1st moshpit cuz of them, I grew on to Metal music, I had my 1st great experience at a lot of things. I literally listen to them everyday and wonder if they really are better than Alter Bridge? Its hard to say now, but OMG this band is the shit!

8.Step Up On Second
The 4th job I held this year that was an extra boost to my financial problems. It was an ok internship, not what I enjoyed doing, but like I said, me and my family needed that extra cash

9. People I saw more often
I don't know how it happened with my busy schedule, but I managed to see a couple of my friends more often. I even reconnected with many after a long hiatus. People in this category include: Justin, the twins, Ervin, Phil, Jovany, Nick, Juan Carlos, Carol, Chandler and many others.

10. Gym
Hell yeah this shit has helped me out. Girls like my butt, my chest and arms. It was such a positive motivator.

Other Great memories: Six Flags on Christmas Eve, Sting & The Police concert, The Cookout #2, American Idol.

Wow wow wow the amount of attention I get at these Christmas parties I work for, and tonight was an example!

So tonight it was the Beverly Hilton's employee party. It was great seeing my mom take a day off and serve her of course =]. What was even more amazing to see was the other waiters strut their stuff. Holy shit some of them looked BOMB!


So after service was done, the music started. I was dancing around and people noticed how badly I wanted to shake my thang at the dance floor! I was worried cuz I didn't want to get fired. I then realized a couple of employees were basking in the fun and I was still a bit skeptical wheter I should go in or not. Then,

then a fucking Cougar hits on me!!!!!!! I was like fuck yeah I can dance w/ you hun, and we proceeded to the dance floor, WHERE I GOT COCKBLOCKED BY OTHER FEMALES! I was pulled in a circle after they noticed what a bad ass dancer I am. The poor female was left dancing alone and I was fucked. I danced with the other fine females for a while and got the attention from everyone in the dance floor. There was one point where this one fucker thought he could pop lock, but I FUCKING BURNED HIM IN FRONT OF EVERYONE!

So all is good and I requested CRANK THAT SOULJA BOY! It got played within minutes, and I fucking ran to the center, flailing my arms, gettin everyones attention, and BOOMMMMM

I Cranked the Soulja Boy so smooooth! I got mad cheers, I was getting the motha fucking attention a Star deserves. Everyoned loved it. Some people joined me, and got a kick out of it. Sadly I was cut short but hey people were asking me to dance with them afterwards. Man it was great. All night long I was dancing to Salsa, hip-hop, 80's, rock en español, Cumbias, rancheras.


But yeah now I really want to learn how to be a better dance. I can dance no doubt, according to everyone "man you're good" "dude you're like the best dancer in the floor" "hey dude don't stop, your amazing" but I really want to be an amazing dancer. I don't know where ill look for classes, but holy shit I want to be good preferably at HIP HOP, SALSA, MERENGUE & BALLROOM DANCING.



So yeah lesson learned today: Being a good dancer in many genres will get you noticed


Cuz seriously, 95% of guys can't dance for shit at parties, clubs, etc. I'm one of the 5% that can actually get it on. I don't see what's so hard to get the flow going. I seriously can't wait to be an amazing dancer, because I am ready to take over parties!!

OMG I had forgotten so many songs from the past and I got my Annual "Yearly Top Songs Countdown" to help me reminisce the good ol' music. Its crazy to look back my former favorite tunes, my #1 songs, etc.


The countdown is on its 12th year of existence. And yes I have the old documents saved up. HANDWRITTEN! Seal's ~Kiss From a Rose~ was the 1st #1 song ever and it started small with the Top 15 Countdown.

SCHOOL:
Talk about the best semester ever. School is so fucking easy when you actually have goals and ambition in life. I got A's in the 2 classes I took this semester (Rock & Roll History and Business Communications). I'm so good that I got to skip the music final. Less stress there woof! But the Business final is this Monday and I smell another A.

Next semester, I'm debating wheter I should take Italian or Macro + Micro Economics. I'm leaning towards Econ if its trasferable to Cornell. Oh well, I got a month to decide.

But overall, I am done with Community College. I got my AA and my Business Management/Leadership certificate credential to add to my resume. The reason I am sticking with SMC is for Rotaract (which I'll explain in a bit). I also must add that it was great to meet the many new faces I met this semester. I did'nt think I would make this many new friends this year. But it all happened because of my Presidency and by being open-minded. Next stop, Cornell

CORNELL UNIVERSITY:
Whoever knew I would have become a Cornell junkie! Back in the days, I would see people in films or at school with high hopes for a school and wonder how that could be possible. Now I know what they are feeling. God damn I've done my research on this school, and have met people through an online network. I reallllly want to go to this school now. It has become my #1 choice.

Even though I have shown an amount of confidence of getting accepted, I will have UNLV as a back up. If that happens, I will proceed with high grades, Rotaract involvement, and possible school goverment to increase my chances to get accepted to Cornell for their Master's program. But for real though, I know so much about the Hotel business, I have 4 years of experience, I have this great character that has evolved from Rotaract, etc. Applications are due on March so you guys should see some results by April/May.

Oh btw, Cornell graduates from the Hotel Admin program start off at $250k per year.

ROTARACT CLUB
Well well, what a surprise this club has been to me. Overall it has become the one of the best clubs at SMC and of Rotaract history. On our final meeting, we went over what we did during the semester and I got a lot of compliments for my excellent leadership. But I got the word from other members of the reasons why people stick to Rotaract:
"They come to Rotaract for you Edgar, you make the club worth going to."

But to show you how much I have done for our club, these are our accomplishments for the fall semester:

- Raised $1499 for AIDS Walk
- Contributed over 200 canned food items for the Los Angeles Food Bank
- Helped out kids who suffer through Prader-Willi syndrome for an entire day
- Heal The Bay event: Helped clean the dirty beaches
- Strong showing of our club at the District Youth Conference
- Feeding the homeless at the AME Church
- Collaboration with UNICEF to Tijuana, Mexico to visit an orphanage
- Meals On Wheels: Delivering fresh meals to immobile senior citizens
- Volunteer for the Santa Monica Symphony concert
- Rotary 5280 District Picnic
- Rotaract club being mentioned in the Santa Monica press
- Rotaract club being mentioned in the SMC's Corsair paper.
- Has accomplished an apprximate 18 cimmitted members. The most the club has seen. There are a lot more members but they either dont attend to most of the meetings or dont do their part in community service.

And thats just the beginning. Spring semester shall be the most fruitful!

LOVE LIFE
Anyone who has been following along with the recent story should know that the results ended in a sour note. Good news is that I was back to good in less than 24 hrs. I have moved on and gone back to the smooth bachelor I am.

But I've also come to realize my standards have risen. Talking with all these beautiful women lately has made me realize I have potential for higher and the "plain Jane" type of girl will no longer do. I guess you can say I'm going to be picky, but its all good. Searching for that right girl will be even tougher for me because I don't know if I want to risk falling in love again. Besides, its really hard to find a committed girl. Girls can be cruel in so many ways and I realized how much I've been screwed over by the many girls I dated this year. So time to play the ass-hole game to some girls. I've done it once by fucking the girl and never calling back. It was bad, but part of me enjoyed it.

NEW CAMERA

I'm on my what, 4th camera in the last 5 years lol. Ok so I bought me a Sony Cybershot 8.1 megapixel HD camera. Its fucking sweet! I love the HD pics and video capability. I'm going to need it for Rotaract pics and events what not. This time I purchased the right type of insurance (Accidental insurance) so that history doesnt repeat itself

My 4th job ended as of November 13th. So now its back to my other 3 jobs as a part-time/on-call banquet server. Making me all that cheese =D

LIVING
Wow its been tough living with a house full of fresh immigrants. No privacy anymore, need to be discreet with many activities, and more people to support. I give my aunt and other family members any amount of $ they need. Thats why its hard for me to live a peaceful life knowing I can't treasure all the money I posses. More reasons to graduate from Cornell.

The sister drama is far from over. She's been locked up twice but twice has been set free. Its been a month since our last conflict, but I really gotta be careful. Who knows when she can strike?

FRIENDS
Wow I miss everyone. I'm so looking forward to going to Ash's to see the many people I care about. But its also very hard to see people when you dont have a car. ::sigh::

Smash people are real fun to hang out with as well. Damn they are funny!

Wow I've become such a huge fan of them. I feel like I'm cheating on Alter Bridge because A7X is sooo close to becoming my new #1 favorite band. Ive heard them non-stop for the past 3 weeks and been to 2 of their concerts in the past 5 weeks. They have shown me the world of moshpitting, the world of real metal music, and this great feeling when listening to their music. I even mosh randomly cuz their music is awesome. All I listen to is A7X and it doesnt bore me. Their old stuff from "Wakin The fallen" and "Sounding the 7th Trumpet" is fucking amazing not to mention their latest self titled CD.

I'm now a hardcore A7X fan!

EDIT (10:45p):
Fuck yeah A7X best concerts ever!!! Holy shit them moshpits are fucking fun as fuck! Everyone is friendly, people are crazy, crowd going nuts, people pushing me to give more force, holy shit I <33333333 moshpits. This is what I'm meant to do at concerts. The pit got huge when they played Bat Country, Almost Easy & Unholy Confessions. I got elbowed a few times in my right cheek, but who gives a fuck, the high adrenaline eliminates that pain. I smell like beer and my hair is all sweaty. Can't wait for A7X to come back.

This truly has been the best year ever!!!

Man I want to update on the bad-ass events that's been happening recently. But school ends Monday and I wil rock the house to bring you a better update.


Next semester is useless, but because club officers need a minimum of 6 units, I will tackle on another foreign language. Question is, which one? I'm looking at the following



Farsi (I work too many Persian events. So I would like to communicate with these people and maybe catch in to some of their shit talking)

Italian (They say its similiar to Spanish. Plus I heard its a sexy language)

German (Something about this language seeks to amaze me. Maybe because of its powerful tone/dialect.)

Russian (Same as German. Except that it doesn't sound friendly =[)

So I got a letter a few weeks ago about a chat session they had tonight. Its an opportunity to get out questions answered and mingle with other Cornell students. And after a few hours of chatting in there and talking about my life story (I became quite popular in the chat room)............
